Year 3 and 4 Visit the Life Centre
Year 3 and 4 enjoyed 2 fantastic days out the Life Centre in Newcastle.
On Tuesday Year 3 class visited the Life Centre with Year 4 visiting on Wednesday.
The day kicked off in the ‘Wow Zone,’ where the kids got hands-on with push and pull forces, including some fun on the pulley chairs.
Next up was the ‘Space Zone,’ where they dove into the wonders of space technology and even got to see a replica of the International Space Station.
Then, the pupils were whisked away to the Planetarium, where they enjoyed a cartoon called Earth Defenders, all about satellites and protecting our planet.
The excitement continued as they travelled back in time during a live show, and our very own Evie was chosen to go invisible—how cool is that?
Year 3 participated in a Discovering Chemistry workshop in the lab. They learned about lab safety and got to conduct an experiment exploring chemical reactions.
Year 4 took part in a Disgusting Digestion workshop. This involved looking at what the digestive system is, how it works and discussing the by-products. They then had a go at making their own poo from Weetabix and Banana.
Everyone left with a wealth of knowledge and a spark of curiosity as budding scientists!
And just when you thought the fun was over, they quenched their thirst with a drink from the toilet—don’t worry, it was just a water fountain!
